Went on a hike up the street to Lake Perris. On my way down I encountered a rattle snake, it looked like a youngster but definitely fearless and ready to strike. I backed off slowly and starred at each other for a bit. I got say, it actually was a very nice looking snake…eventually it slithered off behind a rock and I passed it on the trail. Sure won’t take that route next time.
